Girlfalldown 0 #1 September 12, 2005 I just had to post this one. Just before the alarm woke me up this morning I had the coolest dream I have ever had! Now I've had flying dreams before and usually I get to flying way too high and out of control and I can't land and that's when I wake up but this time I could just lift off and fly whenever I wanted, in front of anyone I wanted. I could fly over to the dropzone or fly down to Southern California real fast. Fly back and land. That was really cool. So then I started wondering what else I could do and I started "testing" my powers. I was trying to move some paper from one place to another with my mind but first I accidently made it burst into flames. Whoopsie! I kept trying and eventually got the hang of moving all types of small objects around with my mind. I would just look at something like a small plant or a cup of coffee and focus on it with my mind, grasp hold of it in my mind and pick it up and move it from 20, 30, even 40 feet away! It was so cool! I kept showing people what I could do and instead of freaking them out they were really excited about it. Then my damn alarm went off. StreetScooby 5 #2 September 12, 2005 It's called Lucid Dreaming. Google it. There is a guy at Stanford university who has done alot of work with lucid dreaming (...he coined the phrase). BTW - very cool stuff. Few people can hang onto a lucid dream. We are all engines of karma

Thanks for the info! -------------- (Do not, I repeat DO NOT, take my posts seriously.)
SuperKat 0 #4 September 12, 2005 That's pretty cool. It seems that you're able to somewhat control what's going on in your dream. Whenever I start dreaming about flying, I usually lose steam at about 200 feet and I end up falling or someone usually grabs my leg to prevent me from flying away. What's the most you ever lost in a coin toss, Friendo?
Maxx 1 #5 September 12, 2005 Hey Shannon, I have a lucid dream once or twice a week, or when I'm really hungover and nap during the day.. It's very cool.. I can also move small objects and put them wherever I want, or just keep them hovering in the air.. I use my hands to point and control where they are going. And I can fly too! Just run a little bit and go in to a track-like position and off I go.. If I want go gain height I can kinda flap/whiggle my arms like a bird. If I stop flying I come really smooth down to the ground and flare the last meters. But most of the time I find myself running of little slopes or jumping from buildings.. It really is an awesome feeling!!! After I had the first dreams of this kind I tried to do it when awake..but unfortanetly it never worked Keep on lucid dreaming! Maxx 1 #6 September 12, 2005 If you wan't to go further into this stuff, google for OBE (out of body experience), "remote viewing", "hemi sync" and "astral journeys".. The easiest access to this stuff is the gateway series from the monroe institute! Do it only if you want to find out how you can actually meet people in your dreams and see yourself sleeping *while* your sleeping and other wicked stuff... This is not for people with a weak personality and a narrow mind.. this shit can get spooky very fast, so please be careful. Max

There have been quite a few occasions that I'm fully aware that I'm dreaming too. I'll check out google and see if I can find anything fun and spiritual to expand the experience. :) -------------- (Do not, I repeat DO NOT, take my posts seriously.) StreetScooby 5 #9 September 12, 2005 Many years ago, I went through an intensive search for God, which lead me into meditation, and out of body experiences. Just what you said ... got too spooky for me. Do this information from the Monroe Institute help with this? I actually spent some time looking at a "religion" called ECK (Eckankar): http://www.eckankar.org/index.html While I agree with many of its premises, the deeper I went, the more it started sounding like a cult (the Eck master intercedes on your behalf in your dreams, thus promoting your education in the higher planes). Again, like you said, a little too scary. It would be nice to find something where I could continue pursuing this aspect of the life force. We are all engines of karma
Ashtanga 0 #10 September 12, 2005 I'm picturing you flying around San Francisco with Joe Satrianis Flying in a Blue Dream song in the background. Thanks for the daydream.
Maxx 1 #11 September 12, 2005 I had 2 astral journeys in my life.. One when I was a very young kid and one when I worked really hard to do it.. I can't describe it how it was.. Kinda like your first freefall The gateway series is the most comfortable way to explore this because you don't have to read tons of books and reports.. You just turn your cd player on and listen.. It's a guided meditation where you first learn to totally relax and concentrate on nothing and then you go further and further into the material.. you can choose which way you want to explore and because of the guide it never gets too spooky because you are always guided back where you started from! I did this 2 or 3 years ago very intensive and it really opened my eyes.. From time to time I still listen to a hemi sync CD just to relax. If you don't believe in it - forget it. You really have to open your mind and soul to explore this.. Then it really works and doesn't feel spooky or uncomfortable. Forget about the religion and cult stuff.. You do this for yourself! I'm a christ, but not a strong believer in god. I just wanted to explore the borders of the human mind.. and if Einstein says we are only using 10% of our mind - I can say I have at least "seen" 10 percent more.. StreetScooby 5 #12 September 12, 2005 Maxx - this stuff is beyond belief. It simply IS. I've had several out of body experiences, all induced by intensive meditation I used to do in my life long ago. Each time was incredibly _frightening_. While I would love to continue exploring, it reached a point where I was afraid of starting something I couldn't stop (action/reaction, ignorance is no plea). I noticed the "hemi" device. I'm completely deaf in one ear. Think that would make a difference? We are all engines of karma
