sid 1 #1 September 14, 2005 A friend gave me the cd by The Pussy Cat Dolls yesterday, and judgementally I threw it on the car seat thinking it would be manufactured shit aimed at a mass market. This morning I put it in the player and HOLY SHIT this girl (Nicole I think) can sing!!!!!!!!!!!! There is a version of an old, old Tony Newley song "Feelin' Good" where this girl lays it down! I know they can make a lot of things sound good in a studio, but you can tell when someone understands phrasing and emotion, and she sure as hell does. I haven't heard the whole cd yet, I kept replaying the rendition of the Soft Cell song "Tainted Love" and "Feelin' Good" - it's well worth a check (oh, and they ain't hard to look at either)Pete Draper, Just because my life plan is written on the back of a Hooter's Napkin, it's still a life plan.... right? That's why I was so floored! The obviously manufactured for radio/download songs are really little more than fluff - but when this girl works out her pipes she can REALLY deliver a song.Pete Draper, Just because my life plan is written on the back of a Hooter's Napkin, it's still a life plan.... right?
