Kris 0 #1 September 14, 2005 *begging mode on* Well gang, it's that time. While I'm holding out hope that my work may transfer me to Tampa so I can be with my new wife Dagny, I'm not holding my breath. My resume is updated and I thought I'd check in here to see if anyone is looking for, or knows someone who is looking for, an experienced Field Systems Support / PC hardware / MS OS & App support / newbie LAN geek with killer skills and great experience. I can install a Cisco router & Catalyst switch or even punch down paired cable. Reply here or drop me a PM and I'll send you a copy of my resume. 2 cases of quality beer and 2 jump tickets to whomever can hook a monkey up and get him to his wife! Besides, Z-hills is due for someone new to come in and start a ruckus.Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

NWFlyer 2 #3 September 14, 2005 My old employer (I haven't worked there for over four years and I was based on the west coast, so I don't really have any meaningful contacts there) is based in Tampa... big time systems that they need to support. A quick search shows there's a couple things that might be up your alley. http://search.pwc.com/extweb%5Cjobsrch.nsf/usresultsview/42901D3FB23C7D738525707C0019855D?OpenDocument"There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. Well, I'm coming from OK, so it won't be that big a shock, and the cost of living in Tampa isn't hideous at all. Thanks for the advice. I'll add my resume to their server as well!Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
JoeyRamone 0 #8 September 14, 2005 DICE is the best option i have a few headhunter friends in that area shoot me a resume i will pass it on. Do you want to travel? If you do then apply to PWC, they only hire the best of the best very hard to get into. They would never hire me not good grades in School.

Brains 2 #12 September 14, 2005 I know an A/C guy in Tampa if you get desperate! Good luck brotha! Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.
ChasingBlueSky 0 #13 September 14, 2005 Pass your resume on to me and I will see what my company and network has down there. A lot of reports I've read lately do not paint the Tampa/Orlando market as a very hot place. In FL it seems that Palm Beach and Miami are some of the better IT markets with Tallahassee after that. Also, give me a call and I can give you some good pointers on what to say, how to market yourself, and how to handle yourself in an interview. I can also give you some pointers on why you shouldn't rely on job boards. (hint: I never use them to post the good jobs)_________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again.....
