peregrinerose 0 #3 September 15, 2005 If you do a LASIK search on here, you'll find a crap load of information. Bottom line is your corneas are different from any other person's cornea, amount of tissue removed is different, corneal thickness is different, tear film is different, immune reaction is different, etc. Only your doc can give you an answer. rwieder 0 #4 September 15, 2005 I was back on the jump ship in two weeks. But time may vary due to a lot of different variables. Bottom line, follow your opthomologists advice. I was told to wait 6-8 weeks, of course i never listen to advice from professionals.-Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"

sunshine 2 #7 September 15, 2005 I hardly ever listen to doctors either. The eye doctor is different though. I will do whatever she tells me to do. I value my eyesight sooo much since i only have one fully functional eye. ___________________________________________ meow I get a Mike hug! I get a Mike hug! SniperCJ 0 #8 September 15, 2005 I got LASIK a few years ago and waited the mandated 6 - 8 weeks. I got my left eye re-LASIK'ed in May. Had surgery on Thursday and jumped on Saturday. Against the advise of the surgeon of course.

outrager 6 #10 September 15, 2005 QuoteI am going to get LASIK in the near future and I was wondering how long people waited to go skydiving afterwards. Did LASIK in April. Made a tower jump 3 weeks later, no prob but had to keep my goggles on during the climb - too much wind in the face was uncomfortable. Started skydiving about a month after surgery, but couldn't take goggles off under canopy for a few more weeks. Had dry eyes for about 2..3 months, as expected (hint: can't smoke weed). Back to normal now, completely forgot about the surgery by mid-summer. Spent 2 months jumping in the mountains without any issues. Still can't believe how good it is! All in all, LASIK is the best thing i have ever done in my life. bsbd! Yuri.
gus 1 #11 September 15, 2005 Hey Yuri, has it effected your night vision at all? Any problems doing sneaky shit in the dark? GusOutpatientsOnline.com
Casie 0 #12 September 15, 2005 I waited 3 months total since I had problems with my eyes being tooo dry (allergies and all)(vision changes when eyes are dry) - therefore had to moisten them alot and I think 3 months was the total time of flap healing. I didn't want to take any chances on my vision....then again, I'm anal~Porn Kitty WARNING: Goldschlager causes extreme emotional outbursts!

Yes it did - but after wearing contacts (hard & soft) for like 12 years I was used to having halos sometimes.~Porn Kitty WARNING: Goldschlager causes extreme emotional outbursts! outrager 6 #15 September 15, 2005 QuoteHey Yuri, has it effected your night vision at all? Any problems doing sneaky shit in the dark? Yes, had typical halos at night for a few weeks. It pretty much disappeared by now, almost perfect already at 5 month mark. Definitely way better than using glasses, contacts etc at night. bsbd! Yuri. It honestly sickens me to know that people think like this. I can honestly say that I don't often follow my doc's advice either when it comes to recovery time. But when I make a problem worse than it was to begin with by doing my own thing, which has happened, I at least know it's my own damn fault.
