Muenkel 0 #1 September 15, 2005 My parents ordered a series of new appliances; Refrigerator, range, dishwasher, microwave, Whirlpool Duet washer and dryer. They asked me if I would wait for the delivery as they were not going to be home. Delivery was scheduled for 7-11am. Truck pulls up at 9am. So far, so good. Except their is 1 problem. Not one of the appliances were on the truck. The driver and assistant searched the truck several times...I guess hoping they would somehow magically appear. They had the dumbest look on their faces. To make it even dumber, they asked me to sign the delivery order. When I asked why I should sign when they haven't delivered anything, the answer was 'because every customer must sign'. Huh? I may need a few signs. Two for the delivery guys and more for the ones who loaded the truck. _________________________________________ Chris

I would loved to have seen the looks on those driver's faces! That many appliances, would've taken-up half or more of the space in that delivery truck. Then, to ask you to sign the delivery slip? I hope, they didn't un-load them at another residence!? I know, it's all quite annoying but, it's funny as hell at the same time.
Muenkel 0 #9 September 16, 2005 No I did not sign it. I've used up my quota of my personal signs. Update: My parents alleged appliances will be delivered on the 27th. Once again I have to wait for them as my parents will be away. To their salesman's credit, he did laugh when my mother said to him 'Anyone can deliver nothing, but it takes some brains to actually load the truck'. _________________________________________ Chris
