bisqit999 0 #1 September 16, 2005 customer says, " red bull and Vodka please!" tonight my bartender handed me a glass of ice with a shot of vodka and a can of Red Bull on the side..$8.50. I then asked for another one and it only cost me $4.50 since I already had the can of Red Bull. $13 for 2 Vodka and Red Bulls? Is this normal bartender practice or am I out of line for being upset about it? (Istill tipped him very well) What if I only wanted one of these drinks? This is a "man walks into a bar" joke, right?... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.
chaoskitty 0 #3 September 16, 2005 4 bucks is about standard for a can of red bull in a bar. I think jagerbombs are about 9 bucks a shot. And your bar obviously charges 4.50 for whatever vodka you were drinking. If you want to drink cheap.. drink at home. Or the dz.
Beverly 1 #4 September 16, 2005 MM, prices seem fair. If you were asking why the drinks came seperate, next time ask for Vodka with Red Bull and they may pour it. It is cool that they don't charge you for something you already have as a mixer. I don't know what Red Bull you drink, but the stuff in my fridge has only 200mg of sodium. 140mg is classified as "low sodium". _Am__ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead. davedlg 0 #7 September 16, 2005 Seems about right for a "normal" bar. I used to raft guide in Fayetteville West Virginia (Where the New river gorge bridge is). There is a bar there called Charlies which is famous for it's very cheap, strong drinks. The first time I walked in there, I asked for a vodka and red bull. Charlie took a tall glass, threw a few ice cubes and filled it to the brim with vodka, then opened a red bull and set it next to the glass. $3 please. I was happy to pay it. TypicalFish 0 #8 September 16, 2005 Quite frankly, as a professional bartender, they borderline did you a favor. In alot of the places I know of, you would have gotten another can of Red Bull and the bill would have been 17.00... FYI, a shot of Absolut or Stoli in my bar goes for 7.70... Grey Goose is 9.90..."I gargle no man's balls..." ussfpa on SOCNET

bisqit999 0 #10 September 16, 2005 if I order a Jack and Coke...how come they don't charge for the Coke...and then for the Liquor? Red Bull seems to be some new expensive drink..which is fine, i just wanted to know if it was my bar or if that was the going rate. Bottom line....Vodka and red Bull is an expensive drink! Time for the wagon!

Time for the wagon! True, but the coke is probably costing the bar in the neighborhood of .02-.03 per drink (as it comes in bulk syrup form) and the Red Bull is costing 1.00. Plus you have the waste from any half-used cans, and the additional pain of the bartender having to keep the open and closed cans cold and/or on-ice. Vodka and Diet Coke if you want the caffeine. And it has no calories. It's called a "skinny bitch"."I gargle no man's balls..." ussfpa on SOCNET

FIREFLYR 0 #16 September 16, 2005 Not normal, he was being a lazy beotch. He should have served you a shot with half the can and charged you $7.50. when you came back , he should have done the same. (unless you didn't tip on the first one) then the second should have been $8 ~J"One flew East, and one flew West..............one flew over the cuckoo's nest" "There's absolutely no excuse for the way I'm about to act"
