It's been almost a year (10-14-2004) that I had my nipple rings taken out (trauma unit made me take them out) I thought they would be closed up good by now.... I was wrong, I put a new ring almost all the way through (I can see the silver of the ring ready to pop through) I never thought it would still be open. so how long have you had a piercing stay open after taking the steel out? Darminion 0 #4 September 17, 2005 had my nipples pierced for about a year then one started to migrate to the surface so I took them out, the holes were closed within two days, now I just have little marks where the holes were at. My ears closed from a 6 gauge to a 14 after having rings out of them for about 6 months, I have those back up to a 10 for the time being.
