SkydiveStMarys 0 #1 September 18, 2005 Does anyone shop at Ebay? Got to admit, I love the site and buy there before going anywhere else. Whats the coolest thing, best bargain, that you won on Ebay. For me...I won a really cool canopy/flag set-up for a 4th of July Demo that we did, $165.00 pair of jeans for ONLY 15.00, Vans, etc. LOVE Ebay!! BobbiA miracle is not defined by an event. swedishcelt 0 #2 September 18, 2005 Buying clothing on ebay... well I don't know. I wonder about it. What if your jeans were worn by some dead person during a really messy accident and the pants were the only thing not ruined or they never wore underwear or.... well, needless to say. I just can't do it. Who knows wth you're getting. How do you KNOW it's new stuff? I know people who have bought cars and such on ebay, the only thing I bought was an artists set, easel and palette and it was about a 500.00 set for less than 100.00. That was my only experience... You can buy things with tags on them. You can be very specific with your search for a particular item. I have bought new Abercrombie and Fitch jeans along with AE and Gap jeans ALL that have tags on them and only 1/2 the price. You really do need to know you size and body type and what jeans and such fit you the best. I have also buy new shirts, shoes, etc all with tags still on them. One mans treasure is another mans trash. But OH what good trash you can find! LOL!!A miracle is not defined by an event. A miracle is defined by gratitude. riddler 0 #4 September 18, 2005 I think of eBay as a place to sell things, but I sometimes buy too. I've been in a mode for the last few years of trying to simplify my life by selling as much as I can. Ebay is a great place for people that want your old stuff. I hate giving it away, because I feel the things I have have some value, and when you give something, the recipient rarely values it. If they buy it, even for a few dollars, they will value it. I don't do garage sales because ... well ... I don't like strange people coming into my yard eBay works for me, and I support the shipping companies that keep my business going.Trapped on the surface of a sphere. wmw999 2,589 #5 September 18, 2005 I've bought a bunch of stuff off ebay, mostly jewelry, and most of that fairly inexpensive. Never sold anything (I donate to a local charity resale shop, and to one that comes and picks stuff up too -- that way someone will buy it, and a charity I agree with will pick up the money). I've only had one bad experience with it. Wendy W.There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. Daizey 0 #6 September 18, 2005 I love ebay. I buy and sell from it a lot. Half.com is great too-especially for textbooks! I can buy that at a really cheap price and then sell them back at the exact price, if not more that what i bought it for. I just recently bought 2 chargers and a data cable for my cell phone for $3. They all work and it woulda been about a $50 deal at any store. I've bought some clothes too, And I've sold some clotehs as well. Ebay rocks! *daizey*
SkydiveStMarys 0 #7 September 18, 2005 I hear ya, Ebay DOES rock!! You can find ANYTHING on Ebay. before I travel to the mall, even Walmart, I search Ebay. What was the abuloute find, on Ebay for ya? I think for me was the pair of jeans that had tags on them for $165.00 and I won the bid at just $15.00 w/ no reserve. I would have NEVER EVER bought a pair of jeans at the "normal" price. My husband was even impressed. LOL! BobbiA miracle is not defined by an event. A miracle is defined by gratitude.
Shotgun 1 #8 September 18, 2005 I have fun buying and selling stuff on ebay. I don't really make much money selling things (just stuff that I don't want anymore), but I enjoy it for some reason. I have forbidden myself from buying things when I've been drinking though, because then I end up with stuff like this: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=972883#972883

It's makes my stuff SO much easier to sell My wife calls it "Baying at eBay", and I do it from time to time. Late last year, I bought a pair of rugby shirts for half-price (and very cheap shipping). It's more fun when you actually have money to spend, though. mh ."The mouse does not know life until it is in the mouth of the cat."
SkydiveStMarys 0 #12 September 18, 2005 Yeah, thats the tough part, no money doesn't get ya very far with Ebay. But when the time comes for me to purchase something, Ebay is the first place to look. The closest Mall is about 40 miles away (80 miles round trip), so when you figure in the gas $ that it takes to go there and come back, the shipping cost is much cheaper. Then there are things that you just can't get here in my neck of the woods that you can get on Ebay like...TastyKakes! LOL! BobbiA miracle is not defined by an event. Rookie120 0 #13 September 18, 2005 I have been buying tools on Ebay. I just got a $1800 set of wrenches for $250. I have bought a lot of tools like snap on and MAC for really cheap on ebay. I love it.If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck!
