cmchristian 0 #1 September 19, 2005 I am having a problem with Google that I am attributing to Spy/Ad Ware. When I conduct searches on Google after a certain hour in the day Google will error out on me (this is usually in the afternoon). Has anyone else had similar problems with Google and how did you fix it? I have run several Spyware removal programs and had no luck. Any help would be great. AggieDave 6 #4 September 19, 2005 Well, I'm showing a different IP for google, but that doesn't mean much. Try trace routing google when you get that error and see where the pings end. That'll help determine if its you or them or what. It could be as simple as your ISP getting hammered during the busy time...or perhaps a gigapop getting hammered. Or you have spyware and will have to burn you computer at an alter made of old Commadore systems to clean your soul.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." wildblue 7 #5 September 19, 2005 IP addy is owned by intercage If that name means something to you, maybe you're behind a proxy server that's dying. Otherwise, it's probably spyware. Check your hosts file, run MS Antispyware, Ad-Aware, hijack this, etc etc.it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality
