Airfare Help

Bare with me folks (on some GOOD pain meds right now)....I need to purchace a airline ticket to San Diego Fast. I have never used priceline (name your own price). Can someone give me some insight as to how is works. I am flexible as far as times go (I need to get to a dentist in SanDiego Fast) "long story".....
I was just wandering if anyone has any experience with them regarding "length of travel time"

Start by shopping the major airlines from Atlanta (assuming you're still there) like Delta or possibly United or whoever else. Take the published fare and bid it on Priceline at 65-70% of the published fare. You'll either get it or be asked to bid again. If you don't win, up the anty until you do.

The fastest you can get ther from the looks of things is about 8 hours. I am sure you can get something going with no connections, but it will cost tons more. If you are in pain I say just get there however you can asap.

Thanks for your help....I went with priceline (very kewl)....saved 69% on my flight.....and trust me I have been looking! $250.00 round trip from atl to san diego. Leave on Tuesday morning I will have 2-3 days of dental stuff going on then I am thinking its time to SKYDIVE....... I am guessing ELSINORE?
