RkyMtnHigh 0 #1 September 21, 2005 The reality in the Gulf States is worse than I could imagine based on media coverage. The devastation, emptiness, loss is so great. Although there is much frustration with the government and lack of resources and the fact that the American Red Cross hasn't made it to many parts of the affected areas, there is still a sense of survival, gratitude, and hope for tomorrow which makes my heart glad. Tomorrow I head back over with more hygiene products, baby supplies, and teddy bears..and I plan to wear Mardi Gras Beads with frogs on it..to let the people know that I'm just the mode of transportation; that these wonderful supplies come from crazy people who happen to jump from planes and suck toads! LOL ( for those of you who don't know the group of CRW dawgs called "Toadsuckers", they've been extremely generous with their donations while I was there last weekend in Titusville at the Toadsucker Reunion) THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Toadsuckers!!!
