QuoteI just didn't like that it wasn't funny. They didn't do a very good job of making a parody with over the top stereotypes like other shows have.
i think that's the problem with some tv shows today.... the one-sided stereotypical characters. Earl is great, a red-neck who discovers karma and decides that to make his life better, he has to redeem himself.

Not bad for an old skateboarder with no acting lessons.

it's not THAT part that I don't get..
I don't usually get the shows that are so rude... like Jackass, etc.. I mean.. I love a funny show.. and I think out of the 3 episodes I watched I chuckled once.. the rest were astonishingly rude or completely just friggin strange.. you know... like those commercials that leave you wondering what the hell they were about..? that's the office.. I'm baffled as to why it's on TV!
too strange.. much better stuff on other channels..

Uhh...the show was filled with one-side stereotypical characters. Earl seems to try to be "neutral" as many main characters are. It's a good premise but poor execution.
There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
Freaking hilarious!

I thought it was pretty funny what I saw of it - mainly because of the shock value of seeing anti-PC stuff on television.
Personally, I like the office a lot, too, because it's another show with apparently no fear (and the character of Pam is just so darned cute).
My wife is hotter than your wife.

I really liked it. Quirky and funny! Definitely un PC without being mean-spirited.
