Are there any areas to avoid when looking for a home? Our realtor (thanks Spence your a doll) is more familiar with Macon, but if you can give us ideas then we can pass it on to her...Thanks in advance

Are you really wanting to live in Thomaston? The most exciting thing to do there is go to the Wal-Mart and laugh at Mullets and such....

Hey Mullets are no laughing matter, even my fish have mullets...

Thomaston or Macon. Yuppers. Have a realtor, she knows macon but is unfamiliar with what parts to avoid (i have kids, dont want us shot at )

edit to add- the funny thing was when she knew we were skydivers that was her first criteria , she said "okay , easy access to a dropzone, *****.00 price range etc"

I was down there for about 3 years. if I remember coorectly the area's in thomaston to avoid are...thomaston.

there is a great DZ there ( duh) but thats about it)
even forsythe has more to do than thomaston

Unsafe parts of Thomaston.... down 19 going south... not so great! stay near the North side of town....
Check out Griffin.. I lived there for a year and it is 25 mins from the DZ and 1 hr away from Atlanta... It is nice there... just look before you settle....

All areas in Thomaston are not safe in my book. If I'm not able to run to the liquor store at any given moment, I think I would go postal.

You should move to College Park. That's a fine section of the city of Atlanta.
