yardhippie 0 #2 September 21, 2005 Im sure this will end up in SC eventually... anyways. While such an idea may sound right on the surface, its actually the massive run on fuel that spikes the prices. If everyone would remain calm, use fuel conservitively, and purchase as they normally would, the disaster we had here in ATL a few weeks ago would have been much less. Just my humble opinion. Slappie 9 #7 September 21, 2005 QuoteGood news is the gas prices are coming down. You seriously may want to rephrase that. IF Rita does the damage to the Galveston / Matagorda bay area a Cat 4 or 5 huricane can. You might just see another 40% fuel making capasity go up like "dust in the wind" and fuel prices may spike up $2 a gallon to $4-$5 a gallon. People making light of this situation are pretty shallow. I was still paying $2.92 on Sunday! The crazy part is most of our gas here in Washington come from Alaska, not Hurricane Alley. Blues, Dave"I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!"
