kelpdiver 2 #11 September 22, 2005 The Stones are a particularly bad one to pay that kind of money given that anyone who would be willing to pay that should have already seen their show a dozen times by now. Less than 10 years ago most venues sold all tickets at the same price, all anyone with connections got the better tix to sell to scalpers. Now I guess you still pay the same amount for top seats, but the venue collects it instead of the ticket agencies.
thegreekone 0 #12 September 22, 2005 Sure, if Maggie Cheung is playing the skin flute (mine). Crass, I know....but so is a 425$ for a concert. FWIW, I saw Maggie Cheung at the Toronto Film Festival when she was promoting IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE and everybody was astonished (males and females) by how she was even more beautiful in person than she was in that movie. p.s. Add Michelle Reis to that list (see avatar) duh. Finally, the Stones of Today are NOT the Stones of old. nough said...
CanuckInUSA 0 #13 September 22, 2005 I would love to see the Stones in concert. To date the best show I've seen was Pink Floyd back in '95 at an outdoor venue. But $400+ is too steep for my blood. I'd much rather spend that sort of money on jumps. But that's just me. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
masterrig 1 #14 September 22, 2005 When the Stones: 'Bridges to Babylon' tour came to Texas, my wife surprised me with tickets. $150.00 each. That included a bus ride to Ft. Worth, beer (all one could drink) and lunch. Not to mention all the pot smoke one could inhale during the bus ride! I could never afford concert tickets before that. I had waited about 30+ years to see them! Chuck

Can't think of anyone I would pay that much to see... but then it would be pretty hard to get me to go to any big concert now even if it was free - did plenty of that when I was younger, and I don't like the big crowds anymore.
