jumpchikk 0 #1 September 23, 2005 I'm going to Chili's for lunch with my best friend. I'm so tempted to order a drink. Who of you have partaken in the consumption of your favorite alcoholic beverage while on lunch break from work?
davedlg 0 #2 September 23, 2005 There's no option for "I have been known to do it from time to time, but don't make a habit of it" No, I have never been caught edit to add: I don't think I really could get "caught" since the company buys beers and passes them out from time to time on friday afternoons. lawrocket 3 #7 September 23, 2005 Yes, I've done it. Back when I was practicing in Los Angeles it was not uncommon to go across the street to Casey's to get my drink on at lunch. Usually, the drinking came at the behest of and from the wallet of my boss. Here's a post I made after one such day - 6 straight hours of alcohol. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=443580#443580 As an aside, I actually DID scare the shit out of Shark on that jump we were discussing at the end of that thread. Chrissay 0 #8 September 23, 2005 Yes I have done drank at lunch, usually with the boss, I don't like to do it regularly though because only a couple of drinks mixed with food makes me sleepy. Our company also use to bring around Margirita's for Cinco de Mayo.
Rick 67 #9 September 23, 2005 If I didnt more people would be getting fired in the afternoon seriously I usually have 2-3 beers at lunch....of course I don't drive the 65' crane truck around anymore eitherYou can't be drunk all day if you don't start early! BillyVance 35 #10 September 23, 2005 Could have had an option for "yes I've done it a few times" During my college summer co-op job, I had the coolest boss. I was underage at the time, but on Fridays, we usually had 2 hour lunches. One week we all went out to a restaurant that had an outdoor buffet and beer. I'm 20 at the time, and boss asks me "wanna beer?" I stare at him for a couple seconds, then say yeah... Same here. I had beer at lunch once and won't do it again because it made the second half of the day go so slow since I was tired. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

dgskydive 0 #20 September 23, 2005 Back when I had a good paying job, we used to go to Captain Creams (yes it is a strip club) for lunch on Wed and Fri. every week. Most of the time we would keep it mellow, but there where a few times that we came back and enede up in wrestling matches in the office or shooting so many rubber bands at each other our fingers were sore after. The boss never seemed to mind as long as we opened enough accoutnts that month. He was all about the money, show him the money and you could get away with anything, and we did.Dom
