Softie or Strong Emergency Parachute systems

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know were I can get a Softie or Strong emergency airplane parachute system with a square parachute? I know you can order them but I was wondering if anyone knew were they might have them in stock. I checked para-gear and they only have them with rounds. I have yet to call Strong direct and I wonder if they even make them with square chutes. I have one on order with Softie but it's 6 weeks if I wait for it to be built. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Strong does make them...I have one.
Call and talk to John or Alan.

Ask Para-Phernalia or Silver (their largest dealer) what sizes and colors of Softies they have in stock.

Once you find the right size and color, tell them to include a freebag and pilotchute in the sale. Hint: the bigger the better when you are having a bad day in the pilot's seat.

Then call the major dealers (Para-Gear, Square One, Pier, etc.) to find a square reserve the right size.

I packed squares into a few Softies when I worked at Para-Phernia. I also packed a few squares into Butler PEPs (Pilot Emergency Parachutes) when I worked for Butler Parachute Systems... and when I worked for Rigging Innovations, I ONLY packed squares into Aviator PEPs.
