SkydiveStMarys 0 #1 September 30, 2005 OK, here are just a few of the groups that made some kind of impact in the 80's. Obviously I couldn't name them all, but there are some on the list that you really wouldn't admit to liking in a crowded room. Feel free to pick them now because no one knows whose vote is whose. Bobbi Feel free to mention those that aren't on the listA miracle is not defined by an event. A miracle is defined by gratitude.
wildcard451 0 #2 September 30, 2005 Foreigner. Saw them in concert about 2 months ago. One of the best live concerts I have seen in a long time.

SpeedRacer 1 #4 September 30, 2005 You left out all the punk & ska bands from the 80s. Speed Racer --------------------------------------------------
BillyVance 35 #5 September 30, 2005 Yeah... where's Van Halen? That was the predominant band when I was in high school. Joellercoaster 6 #7 September 30, 2005 I voted for six of them And not just because I was listening to Manic Monday in the car on the way home last night... And hey, you left out Sonic Youth. Who are still playing, and who I saw last year. Not quintessentially 80s, I know, but they were there for all of it!-- "I'll tell you how all skydivers are judged, . He put-out some good shit. Hell man, when I was in high school, it was Chuck Berry, Fats Domino, Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis (of course), Motown was just getting out there and the Beatles and Stones. I had an old 'tube' radio that could pick-up stations from all over the country. Wolfman Jack!!! Chuck

tbrown 26 #11 September 30, 2005 I hate to break it to you, but Foriegner, Hall & Oates, Boston, and Don Henley are all from the seventies. And Chicago is all the way from the sixties (yeah baby !). Your humble servant.....Professor Gravity !

Girlfalldown 0 #13 September 30, 2005 Journey. Escape. My gawd I think about all the times my best friend and I sang the songs on that album in the bathroom at Shakeys pizza (really fucking loud because the acoustics in there were great) and how the staff would come bang on the door and tell us to shut the hell up! Sadly I still remember all the words and when one of those songs comes on the radio I have to force myself not to sing my heart out. -------------- (Do not, I repeat DO NOT, take my posts seriously.)
