SBS 0 #4 October 5, 2005 I am in Paris right now...I was told that something had been removed from the Absinthe, though...is that true? What did they remove, and is that not what causes the effect? If it's good stuff, where can I get it to take back with me? I may be able to get into town sometime today (Wednesday), otherwise it will have to wait until next time (November). It would be nice to get my limit now, though, and then again in November to hook up those who would like to be hooked up. Frenchy68 0 #5 October 5, 2005 The "epileptic" essences have been lessened. You can go to "L'Absinthe Bar" near Turbigo and Reaumur for fun (Metro: Arts et Metiers). There is what seems to be an amazing absinthe retil shop (it was closed when I went) on a small street leading to the Place du Marché Sainte Catherine in the Marais. It looks like there is a great choice of different brands there (Métro Saint Paul). Have fun! SBS 0 #6 October 5, 2005 Exactly how many little streets are there around there??? Doesn't seem like I would actually have too much of a chance of finding it???_____________ I'm not conceited...I'm just realistic about my awesomeness...
Frenchy68 0 #7 October 5, 2005 About 3 or 4. Pick the one coming from the South West part of the "Place". "Dormesson", or something similar... Vicki I don't know about that. I think a full day of beer drinking is the worst hangover. I drank quite a bit of absinth at the Byron boogie, the hangover seemed pretty standard issue, but smelling like licorice for a day and a half was a bit wierd.
