lisamariewillbe 1 #5 October 5, 2005 I have had a infatuation with MM for as long as I can remember. She is right up there with Elvis (hell Im named after Elvis's daughter, my mimi wouldnt name me pricilllia because "that bitch didnt deserve Elvis") anyways, reading about her life is fasinating. She really lead a trouble exsistence, she fought mental illness, as well as drug abuse and abuse from men. She was such a beauty. I still watch her movies , and read the occasional book about her. My Fave movies of hers are Somethings Got to Give Seven Year Itch Gentlemen Prefer BlondesSudsy Fist: i don't think i'd ever say this Sudsy Fist: but you're looking damn sudsydoable in this

Casie: ditto here - had a lot in common You know what I like most about her? She owned no jewerly, didn't have a car, and she is quoted saying that her most prized possessions were her books and records. She lived most of her life in a room at the Beverly Hills Hotel with only books and a record player to entertain her. "Money doesn't make me happy. Being a fabulous person makes me happy." - MM
hungarianchick 0 #14 October 5, 2005 No disrespect (I think she was indeed the quintessential American woman/actress) but something about those measurements don't add up. I doubt that with the height of 5'5 1/2"and size 8/12 she would weigh 118 lbs even if she was bird-boned and had very little muscle. By today's standards she was on the plump side (that being said she looked much better than today' s starlets) As a comparison I'm 5'5" a size 2/4 and weigh 123lbs on a good day. O.K. you can go back to your stalking... "I love cooking with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food."
Ashtanga 0 #15 October 5, 2005 QuoteBy today's standards she was on the plump side (that being said she looked much better than today' s starlets) I totally agree. I like my women a little on the plump side rather than anorexic types.

lisamariewillbe 1 #18 October 5, 2005 I wouldnt consider him lucky, she broke his heart, left him, hurt him, then because of his love for her that did not die when she ended the relationship, he paid for her funeral. He wasnt lucky, hell she may have lived longer if she had not left joe. Relationships end. I have ended relationships and still loved the person. I have spent money to get them out of trouble if I had it. Asked for nothing in return. She died when it was her time. Some people die in their prime when that is how they will be forever remembered. IE; Jim Morrison, Elvis, Curt Cobain, etc.

lisamariewillbe 1 #22 October 5, 2005 Yes but that does not make JD a lucky man. He was a tourtured soul from the moment she left him, and spent to much time healing a broken heart. When I get into the house and un-pack my books, I have a book about Joe you might like, it has alot of refrence to MM.Sudsy Fist: i don't think i'd ever say this Sudsy Fist: but you're looking damn sudsydoable in this
VanillaSkyGirl 6 #23 October 5, 2005 Quotesomething about those measurements don't add up. I doubt that with the height of 5'5 1/2"and size 8/12 she would weigh 118 lbs. Most women don't know this, but the apparel industry has changed the measurements of clothing sizes over the years to make women feel better about themselves. Vintage clothing sizes run 4-6 sizes smaller than clothing sizes today. For example, a standard industry size 4 from today can wear a size 12 in a dress from the 50's. The same person might wear a size 10 in a dress from the 70's. Even clothing sizes today vary their measurements immensely depending on the apparel manufacturer. That said, Marilyn Monroe's true body measurements varied over the years. Her size/weight changes are noticeable in her various movies, since she was thinner some years and more full-bodied other years. Either way, she still looked beautiful because she was comfortable in her own skin.
