You go to their page and on that page there should be a link that says 'Add to Friends'...usually on the upper left. Unless the person got cute and fucked with the layout.

Well, I like to eat yogurt.

Ultimately, what I end up doing is going through the friends in my list to see the hot friends they have and then to see the hot friends they have and so on until the end of time.

That is about it.
