happythoughts 0 #1 October 7, 2005 clicky QuoteOne day courses have been set up across Austria to teach men how to iron. The country-wide courses are being advertised with the words: "A real man knows how to iron". Isn't this the country that brought us the Lippizan battle horses ? Sad, to see the decline... QuoteBrigitte Kanatschnig, who is holding one of the courses in Wels in Upper Austria, said there are three types of men who have enrolled. They are confirmed bachelors, those who want to impress their wives and girlfriends, and those who have just split up from their partner. It's always the ones who are compensating. What happened to red sports cars? QuoteShe said: "I try to make the classes as fun as possible to show them that ironing isn't just a chore. Once they have got the hang of a shirt, I start timing them and they love trying to beat the buzzer." "Ok class...here comes the excitement..." That's gotta be a tough sell. QuoteAs an extra incentive trainee ironers will be treated to a wine tasting session at the end of the day. Oh... ironing following the masculine entertainment of Wine Tasting Parties. Wow... happythoughts 0 #3 October 8, 2005 Darwins next victim QuoteA 25-year-old woman in Melbourne, Fla., was treated at a hospital Thursday after an alligator jumped out of the water and bit her hand as she tried to feed it by hand, according to a Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission news release. Is anyone unclear on the concept that feeding the alligator by hand is a bad idea (unless you have a plethora of spare hands). QuoteAn officer issued Rivera a written warning for violating Florida’s law that prohibits feeding wild alligators. Rivera could have been charged with a second-degree misdemeanor, but the officer felt she learned her lesson about feeding alligators the hard way and she likely won’t do it again. Hmm...a quick learner. Quote"Our goal is to get people to comply with the law," said Lt. Rick Brown. "We make an effort to take a minimal amount of law enforcement action to achieve that goal." Oh, yeah? Where was that guy last Saturday night when I got my $100 ticket ?
BillyVance 35 #4 October 8, 2005 Quote Oh, yeah? Where was that guy last Saturday night when I got my $100 ticket ? $100?? That's all?? Pfft... where was the SOB when I got my twin $160 tickets a week apart?? Okay, okay, I deserved the 2nd one anyway... Was going over 120 mph down a long straight stretch, then coasted down to about 90 coming around a bend, and there he was... fuck... I didn't have the balls to tell the cop he could have got me for 120 a minute earlier... SuFantasma 0 #5 October 8, 2005 Rivera? Could she possibly be Geraldo Rivera's Offspring, that would explain the idiocy ... By the time she is 30, she will realize that having a camera crew during the action is far more profitable than selling the story to the tabloids aftewards.Y yo, pa' vivir con miedo, prefiero morir sonriendo, con el recuerdo vivo". - Ruben Blades, "Adan Garcia"
happythoughts 0 #6 October 8, 2005 QuoteOkay, okay, I deserved the 2nd one anyway... Was going over 120 mph down a long straight stretch, then coasted down to about 90 coming around a bend, and there he was... That's the sad part. At night, I was coming out of a bank ATM on a dark side street. I come up to a turn lane (divided by a grass median) and there was a car opposite me, with their lights on me, doing the same from their side. I did a U-turn and... (blue lights). He was facing me with his headlights so that I couldn't read the no u-turn sign. A $100 ticket. As I pulled out, there another car pulled over about 150 yds down. To understand this story, you have to drive through the Tampa Palms area. That is ALL they do, all day long. It is all $300K homes, no convenience store holdups. People get pulled over for 48 in a 45 zone. The Hills. Sheriffs Dept deputies call the TPD cops, "crossing guards" because they never patrol, just enforce meaningless crap.
