StreetScooby 5 #27 October 12, 2005 Quote I like needles. I used to give blood just for the free arm piercing. Does that make me weird? No. This is the first I'm hearing of it, and I already knew you were wierd We are all engines of karma
IanHarrop 42 #28 October 12, 2005 Quote Thanks for the visual You're welcome! I like giving full information - its just my nature to be helpful. Today was pretty much normal for my donation, but the needle hurt more than regular on its way in - the nurse missed the scar tissue that has built up over numerous donations and got part of the skin/vien that was sensitive. wildcard451 0 #31 October 12, 2005 QuoteQuoteThe doctor is NOT the person you want drawing your blood. Doctors rarely draw blood, start IVs, inject IV medications, etc. This I know... I used to be an EMT. However for some reason my doctor can always hit it and it's quick and painless. There is only one other person in my doctor office that I trust, and know I usually beg for her as well. g That doc was probably an EMT somewhere along the way. I graduate in May and I have classmates that have still never started their own IV, or can't hit a vein to draw blood to save their life. It actually kinda bothers me.
