Brian425 0 #1 October 16, 2005 So the wife was getting a little impatient with the speed of the work being done at the house. I found a real simple way to get her to see my side. Make her help me. This revalation came after I installed a range and hood on Friday while off from work. She came home and said "Wow, I thought you would have gotten more done." All I did was run the electric for the hood, made some minor mods to the hole I made in the wall for the vent, hooked up the hood, ran the rest of the gas line for the range, test for leaks, pick up range, and install. Not too bad for one person over a day. So now, she is working everyday with me on the project. When I work in the evenings after work, she is going to help. Weekends, she's working. In 2 days, she is learning that we are not as fast as the pros and since I like things as close to perfect as possible, sometimes it takes more time. Had a great laugh today. I got to ask, "Are you finished staining the moulding?" She said "It takes a lot longer than it looks." I guess it really is the small things in life. Hopefully next weekend we will be done. I'm not sure if I can keep this pace up. The only time you should look down on someone is when you are offering them your hand.
