Anyone have any experience filing a claim with TSA?

When I got home I thought about that little hook knife that was on my rig.

I've always wondered how you could assault someone with a hook knife. Perhaps threaten to cut off their pony tail?:P

and also, they don't let you take a "personal bag" ie. laptop bag or purse in addition to a normal cary on bag for no reason... cary that shit on or risk getting it broke and having to live with no recuperation...

Has anyone had any luck bringing a carry on bag and saying your rig is a "small personal item"?

daizey, you might beable to claim it under homeowners insurance (maybe) if not atleast save the laptops's hard drive to transfer your files.....

i wouldn't recommend using insurence. i had $3000 worth of stuff stolen from my garage. after the deductable and depriciation(sp?), i got a check for $700. my insurence then went up $50 a year for the next 3 years. insurence companies and tsa can suck my balls after a long run and a big dump.

Because they caught him on the plane. Better late than never, but not better later than sooner. ;)

I agree that TSA sucks, but the shoe thing doesn't bother me. I learned to tie mine a few years ago, and I can do it pretty quickly now! ;)

That's cool... What's funny... is that I've gotten tapped for special screening while traveling on business... (sometimes I have to buy my tickets last minute... :))

and... it isn't like its my job to defend the country from... Oh wait that's right that is exactly my job B| Not that have ever complained about it or anything... mostly I find it ironic... and I do sort of understand the reason to pick out last minute ticket purchases.

I do think that the process can be refined to a large extent... and there isn't anything wrong with holding the TSA accountable for their actions. If something gets broken during a "random" search they should be held liable. What's most unfortunate is that we (as travelers) ultimately end up paying for their incompentence because they have to pay for insurance and such which in the long run means higher costs to fly for us, more time taken, etc... :S:P

Of course technically it all comes down to being the terrorists fault... personally I say we KILL THEM ALL!!! :P;)

oh, I hope I didn't over step my bounds... :D:D:D
