Seriously, hope you are OK and not hurting too much.
 kelel01 1 #13 October 16, 2005 I kept it, which was fine. However, one of the many stupid things I did while regaining the use of my arms and whatnot was NOT to even consider that I might need to chop it. I didn't even know the cells blew out until the packer I dropped it off for showed me. I probably would have kept it anyway, based on the nature of the tear, but I should have at least thought to check it out before landing it. But all's well that ends well, and BIG lesson learned. Maybe a bad pack, open still in track? Any idea's? My Sabre used to nail the shit out of me until I had the lip put on the slider. Some of the openings were hell. They are not something I want to do ever.If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck! I actually blacked out for a second and then came to pretty stunned. I do have 4 theories regarding the opening: 1. Openings are chaotic events. (A.K.A. Shit happens). 2. I packed it (which is basically a recipe for disaster). 3. I might have been ever so slightly unstable at deployment. I say this because all the pain inflicted was on my right side - except for the leg straps which was more on both. 4. I may not have slowed down from my track enough. I'm not sure on this one, but it's definitely a possibility. Anyway, given the speed with which it opened, I feel very lucky to just have this soreness. I mean, initially it was PAIN (but even that is just a good reminder that you're alive ), but now it's just a nicely sore shoulder and back.
