dule_savic 1 #1 June 20, 2008 Hello for the last 5 y I am using a Thomas sports Teardrop SF. The best rig ever. Now I would like to order a new one, but I get no answer from them. I cannot reach them. Does anyone knows if they still work teardrop SF?? Any other contact maybe? Thanx for the info. Dule
bigway 4 #2 June 20, 2008 Send Maddy in the UK a email. I think their new teardrop is called 'The Viper' Maddy owns Dzsports. Sales@dzsports.co.uk (or.com) i think. I am sure she can hook you one up, otherwise if you look in the British skydive mag you might find some more up to date contacts for the Thomas Sports. What is it you like so much about the tear drop if you don't mind me asking? .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
dule_savic 1 #3 June 23, 2008 The only thing I really like at Teardrop is the reserve pin on the other side of the rig, nothing else. I think it's much safer. The lower part of the rig (for the main) is like any other rig. thx for the info
Scoop 0 #4 June 23, 2008 I phoned them the other day on nthe number on the website and they picked up right away. Maybe they are away or you just called at an awkward time.
Skydog0223 0 #5 June 26, 2008 I've been jumping Teardrops since 1991. I really like the the design with respect to the reserve deployment i.e. the pilot chute is on the outside of the container. Also the rig is TSO'd to C23D if I remember right, maybe all rigs are nowadays. I think choice comes down to supply at the end of the day, If you live in the US for instance then the Teardrop isn't a competitive rig with exchange rates and all, I've only ever seen Racers typically amongst regular jumpers, with the Javelin being the closest in comparison (also now the Vortex)"Know your own limits"
