VanillaSkyGirl 6 #1 October 24, 2005 Day of the Dead or Dia de los Muertos is an interesting celebration. It is meant to be a day of rememberance of our loved ones, who have died. I once went to an underground Dia de los Muertos happening that was an art gallery opening (dark Frida Kahlo-like paintings), fashion show and concert all in one. It took place in a huge warehouse and was incredible. The music was an all Mexican Taiko drum-playing band from L.A. (I made their costumes.) It was a very cool event! Is anyone planning to celebrate this? I don't normally celebrate Day of the Dead, but I was thinking that it would be nice to celebrate in honor of people who have passed away. This year, I even had a reminder set up for myself, but we're in the middle of buying a house so it's sort of a bad time.
