Obviously my Seamstress (whom you all at DZ.COM know well) has a punked style sense of humor ……


At Nationals and in a drunken release of tension (great excuse to party) after 4 way comp, I decided to wrestle my team mates. End result was a huge tare down the side of my favorite shorts.

I knew just the person to repair my already old and thrashed shorts since she makes jump suits all day. Instructions were simple…..”Big ugly patch with character.”

A few days later ….. I came home to find my favorite shorts all fixed up ….. Character I wanted and character I got ….. a 2in wide by 12in long 1972 circa rainbow stripe down the left side …. Awesome I thought ….. too funny!!

Next day I took my kids and girlfriend to lunch …… first thing the GF said was “ummm that’s Gay” to which I laughed “I know too funny huh?” …. But then she said “no Jim .. that really is Gay…You really don’t get it do you”

Walking through the restaurant I noticed a couple of double takes at my awesome repair job ….. but when I hit the DZ …. Holy sh$t … even my students were explaining “I was sending the wrong message.”

Since when is a frikin rainbow stripe like wearing a billboard?? ……


Any suggestions for some creative revenge??????????

Yeah. I suggest you provide said seamstress with a large bottle of her adult beverage of choice (or whatever's left of your pain pill prescriptions, or better yet both).

I suggest that you remember that you PROMISED (more than once and in front of multiple witnesses no less) that no matter WHAT was done to your shorts, no matter how bad the sewing job, no matter WHAT, you'd be happy with them, wear them with pride and praise said seamstress (yeah, right, what part of "I don't fucking sew" did I not make clear??) for a job well done.

Besides, I gave you exactly what you asked for - a big ugly patch with character. And I didn't charge you for it, either.

I also suggest that you remember that I know where you live.

Guess I got lucky and had a couple of damn good looking girl riggers at Lake Wales fix the gaping hole in the butt of my jumpsuit a couple weeks ago... Did a great job with it too...
