Nice!! what do you study?

I study Latin and Ancient Greek ( no bullshit - currently studying the Iliad of Homer) at college.

I actually have a double major in classics and ancient history. 2 years of Latin and 2 years of Greek required, after that I sort of chose my own path. I'm a hellenist. My thesis was about the citizenship status of women in classical Athens. I even spent a semester in Greece. Tons of fun, but what do i do with it now?!

Thing is - classicist are always in short supply, and the degree is regarded as a very prestigious one, as it requires greta analyictical skill of both the language (tensees, participles, optative and all the rest), anda deep empathy with the ancient culture. Combined with culture you could pretty much stand a good chance of a job requiring such skills becuase classics are indicative of them.

What job you thinking of?
