peek 21 #1 October 26, 2005 See the attached picture. I was going through my large stack of business cards that I have received over the years from skydivers and people in the industry, and was both delighted and saddened when I found the card that Robin Wilcox gave me years ago. I first met Robin when we were going through an AFF course years ago, and later jumped with him and Pud at the WFFC some years later. I think it was that jump where we all landed off, and the Skydive Sebastion bus was at the WFFC that year to pick up people landing off. I remember Pub sitting on the hood of the bus on the way back with his nose into the wind. A funny sight. I miss them.
tigra 0 #2 October 26, 2005 Thanks for posting that. The picture made me smile, but made me sad at the same time. I didn't know him well at all, but I remember him and Pud cruising around the dz on his scooter.
homer 0 #3 October 26, 2005 I do remember reading about him or another skydiver who jumped with his dog. I take it one or the both are no longer with us. For those like myself who never knew this person can you give us a little background history of him. CSA #699 Muff #3804
tigra 0 #4 October 26, 2005 I doubt I'd do him justice. He lost a toggle on landing in June of 1997 after videoing a tandem. He didn't make it. I *think* Pud went back to Texas, but I don't know if he made any more jumps.

BillyVance 35 #6 October 26, 2005 Didn't David Armstrong take that picture? I remember him telling me about it... MikeJD 0 #8 October 27, 2005 I met Robin (and Pudd) at an Eloy Holiday Boogie, I guess about a year before Robin was killed. I couldn't really decide whether it was fair of him to jump his dog or not, but to hear him tell it Pudd used to have a great time in the air. Robin told us that he used to bark at break-off altitude. That's one heck of an audible! It was very sad to hear about Robin's death, but I think you're right - Pudd was on the ground at the time. cruzit 0 #9 October 27, 2005 Robin was friend for about 10 years. Pud adopted him a couple of years before he died. That dog loved to jump. I can remember a couple of weather days when Pud would try to hop into the Caravan at Skydive Dallas looking for a jump. It's really odd this thread turned up...I was thinking about Robin just the other day. I think I remember them saying at Robin's funeral that Pud was going to live with Robin's brother's family. I still miss them...Blue skies Robin.
scooterskydives 0 #10 October 27, 2005 Thanks for posting the great photo's. I was lucky enough to make a jump with Robin and Pudd at the WFFC out of the super conie and I got to give Pudd a kiss passGreat memories I'll have of him foreverIf God wanted man to stay on the ground. He would of put roots on them instead of feet. loving life GO-N-UP
