Skolls081102 0 #1 November 3, 2005 I live in Central New Jersey- and I have found the first radio station in my area playing continuos Christmas Music. They apparently started on November 1st, and will play nothing else until after Christmas. The station is 96.1. I've heard that there are other station doing it, but haven't found any yet. So are there other places across the counrty where radio stations are doing the same thing? RastaRicanAir 0 #4 November 3, 2005 Yes. They exist. They are everywhere. And they are spreading. If Santa Claus were real, those who so often remark at my "belligerence" would be forced to work in the broadcast booth next door to one of these stations for seven years in a row. Before you plan a holiday visit to Florida's capital, you should know that there are two such stations, which compete annually (using corporate espionage) to begin their Christmas programming one day earlier than the other.OrFunV/LocoBoca Rodriguez/Sonic Grieco/Muff Brother #4411 -"and ladies....messin with Robbie is venturing into territory you cant even imagine!-cuz Robbie is
mailin 0 #5 November 3, 2005 Some stations do it because - gasp - its profitable. Most people really enjoy it. I listen to my music choice stations on my digital cable stations every night. Last night I switched it to christmas music and will listen to that station until it stops playing christmas music (after christmas obviously). Because...gasp... I like christmas music. It puts me in a good mood (and lately I could really use all the help I can get to be in a good mood ) and brings back happy memories. I feel kinda sad for people who can't connect good memories/times to christmas/christmas music - I thought that was the point? BillyVance 35 #6 November 3, 2005 I don't know a lot of Christmas songs, but Little Drummer Boy is a favorite as sung by Perry Como... I'd have to sit right by the speaker to be able to hear it though..."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
mailin 0 #7 November 3, 2005 ya, I'm a sucker for old time/classic christmas songs, but Harry Conick Jr. is slowly turning into a 'newer' favorite for me JenArianna Frances
