bhay1 0 #1 October 6, 2005 There is a well sourced but unsubstantiated rumor that a TX dropzone has signed a contract to build a hanger and operate a DZ at the Crawfordsville IN airport in 2006. Does anyone have any info that they can share? Brian
voodew1 0 #2 October 6, 2005 I heard rumors of one in Smithville Tx about an hour east'ish' of Austin But thats just a rumor I heard The one in IN would be the one a former DZO of a major tandem operation in Texas would be bringing his twin otter too. But this is just a rumor also The pimp hand is powdered up ... say something stupid

bhay1 0 #6 October 8, 2005 I won't believe it until the prop turns, but if it does I'll be hysterical with joy. This will make the third DZ in about 30 years at that airport. Needless to say, I live close by. I'll buy all you Texans a beer.

The last I heard is, they've poured the slab for the hangar. It's going to be primarily a 'tandem factory'! I personally, know both the owners. (edit to add) 2 - Cessna - 182s and 2 - brand, spankin new Strong Tandem rigs with Set-400s.
