We will be opening in the near future Quote That star has no relation to Skydive San Marcosin Fentress or to Smithville whatsoever. Smithville is 13 miles east south east from Bastrop on Hwy 71...like the VDoo says. That makes it about 35 miles east of Austin-Bergstrom Airport. The Smithville airport is known as Smithville-Crawford Airport. There is a new approximately 5,000 sq ft hangar under construction there.
