Fookin things I remember when I was in college, I made a boomerang (classic shape) out of styrofoam, and gave it a whirl. There was this quad, with trees in the middle and open space around it. I was able to throw it in one direction and have it circle almost all the way around the trees, more like 300 degrees before hitting the ground... Not too shabbily for a one time thing...
