markovwgti 0 #1 June 1, 2008 Im looking into buying a mirage MO and mirage says that a safire 139 fits like a brick...but a spectre 150 fits like a brick also....i found a nice used mirage MO rig i really want to buy but do you think this combo will fit in it? optimum 143 reserve with a safire 2 149 main! VTmotoMike08 0 #2 June 1, 2008 Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe 7 cell canopies (spectres) pack up slightly smaller than 9 cell canopies (safire 2's). It seems to make sense because 7 cells would have less ribs, stitching, etc. So a safire 139 and a spectre 150 might be very close in pack volume. A safire 149 would likely have more volume than a specre 150. Right? So, I would tend to believe the manufacturer. However, you would not be the first person "overfill" a main container. But doing so can damage the container also. Do you already have the safire 2 149? How could of a deal is it? There are lots of thing to consider. I just put together my G4 M2 w/ Smart 135 (went into the bag very nicely, but into the container like a brick) and a Safire 1 149 (approx. 135 when compared to safire 2's). Supposedly, you should be able to place a 143 into the M2... But I wouldn't try it...LOL From my understanding the Smart reserve pack slightly "smaller" than other brands. Buffdiver 0 #4 June 1, 2008 I Bought a Mirage MO a few months back. I have an Optimum 143 which fits perfect in there. When I first got the container I was jumping a Sabre2 150. It fit in there just fine. I never felt like I was over stretching the container. I now have a Sabre2 135 in it and can barely tell the difference in pack volume. If this is the one you were looking at, sorry, but, I know he always has some good stuff on his hands.
