I luv my king size futon.
It has a 6 in. solid foam center layer, and stuffed 4 in. top and bottom. The best sleep I've had in my life and still is 10 yrs. later.

Moving it sucks!!
The frame, well that is my genious (used to be) secret recipe:

12 in. x 12 in. yellow plastic dairyland milk containers- 20 total laid out 4 across x 5 length.
3 sets of closet doors with handles removed- duck taped together - on top of containers for solid base. Bed skirt covers all perfectly........
