Powers has a bit of experience in parachutes from World War II as she was one of two female parachute riggers for the United States military. Her job was to fold the chute, arrange the cords and make sure the chute was safe to go.

That's so cool! Did anybody who was at the Hog Flop get to talk to her? Bet she's got some good stories.

She was so sweet! I was very impressed when she mentioned being a parachute rigger in WWII. She said she might do "one more tandem" and I said "yeah right!";)

Meeting her and Bob Sinclair (I have his business card which says "Jumping since 1945") just made the weekend that much better!B| Both of them are inspirations for living life to its fullest.

Yeah, I talked to her for a moment. She is definitely a neat woman! But I did not get a card and I am the DZOG!! >:(

Oh well, at least I got to talk to her.

Chuck got some nice shots of her in freefall and will be writing an article to submit to Parachutist, so when you see it, you can say...."hey, I know that woman!!' ;)
Let's have fun! :)
