freefallin14 0 #7 October 30, 2002 Bastard cancelled his show in Chicago for Nov 16th. Was looking forward to seeing him again. Seen him 4 times so far I think, twice he tagged with Sasha, and twice solo. Such a deep dark proggy sound. He rocks. I am however going to see Carl Cox this Friday, so all is good. "does he still have that hair? oh yeah, i can see him from here..." 12:26am - diggers brings in this huge BADASS track, just as jenn and taylor fight their way through the crowd to the middle of the dancefloor. jenn points out that this is taylor's new track!!! we all groove together... 12:47am - ok, shirtless-gay-love-train at 9:00... damn these boys sure can get down to these choons, eh? cool by me! er, um, ok... now one dood is orbiting the other, in a perpetual body lick... ALRIGHTY THEN! hot chicks at 3:00... heyyyyyyyyyyy! 1:12am - cool pacific islander armani guy, with his shirt unbuttoned because he's cool, clad in leather jacket in the middle of a steaming dancefloor because he's cool, and that cool gold necklace, and that cool look-at-my-straight-white-teeth-you-want-me smile... he dons his raybans whilst looking at the crowd, SEDUCTIVELY LICKS HIS UPPER LIP (like ANYONE is gonna swoon over that), then proceeds to make a cell phone call. CHEESE AND RICE!!! diggers is head down in a difficult mix, and he spots this fokker out of the crowd, GLARING BALEFULLY. 1:30am - the music is beyond words... i'm now beyond pluto... time slurs... 3:20am - diggers drops an old familiar track from the northern exposure expeditions cd. the crowd goes apeshit! 3:32am - ah, saints and sinners - pushing too hard... a few years old, yes, but SOOOOO PERFECTLY matches the energy at this point, and a perfect end to the set. 3:45am - while diggers drops a couple of encore tracks, we get ready to leave. so long, farewell, we bid you all... jenn? you really wanna go skydiving? freefallin14 0 #13 October 31, 2002 Dude you went to see Digweed and actually remember that much of the night and in that much detail?? I am impressed. A couple of the more slamming tracks he played last time I saw him were: Shmuel Flash - Chilling Moments (Bedrock Vocal) (yes I spelled Shmuel right, this is a personal favorite of mine to throw down live) Homemade - Philosophy Bedrock - Emerald King Unique - Sugar High Check em out, I am willing to bet he played a couple. Bret Carl Cox tomorrow!!!
SudsyFist 0 #14 October 31, 2002 Quote Dude you went to see Digweed and actually remember that much of the night and in that much detail?? wise man say... roll not, remember more! Quote I am willing to bet he played a couple. last night, he was on a mission to deliver new music. SERIOUSLY. i only recognized 4 tracks: 1. unknown (recognize from a couple of his kiss100 mixes) 2. unknown (remix of some '98-ish track) 3. delta lady - anything you want (from expeditions cd) 4. saints and sinners - pushing too hard everything else was stuff i've NEVER heard... definitely not (yet) on bedrock. chilling moments, btw, is a mighty fine track! steve
