Weird Magazines

Recommended Posts

Was looking at my Continental frequent flyer account (for which I only have a couple thousand miles and will likely never fly again since they barely serve Seattle).

So I thought "I'll get magazines!" Sure, there's the usual suspects like Time, or ESPN Magazine, or Entertainment Weekly, or even The Economist (alas, I don't have enough miles for that). But then there were these... which one should I get? ;)

The Week is awesome. We get it at work. It gives a good synopsis of what all the different news sources are saying about current events and tries to include views from all over the political spectrum. You don't get indepth coverage, but you get a good cross section of differing views of the same events.

You can donate your miles to one of the Make-a-wish types of organizations.

THIS is the all time niche magazine http://www.pizzatoday.com/

a pizza industry magazine. Who'd a thunk it!!!:)
I have actually held one in my hands before no less. VERY scary. At my old job we'd go out and see what kind of odd magazines we could come back to the firehouse with. And my boss won with this one!!

Okay, that just reminded me of a thing my dental office has. They've got pictures in the office and on their web site of their patients flossing all around the world... places from the summit of Mt. Rainier to the Taj Mahal. Cracks me up.

Hmmm... maybe I should floss in freefall!

I never heard of that one. No shit, man! I bought the very first issue of mad when I was a kid. I don't know what happened to my collection. William Gaines was something else!
