1800 SKYRIDE

Recommended Posts

I am probably going to cause turmoil, self-righteous opinions and bad gas by posting this. I read the post on the home page about suing 1800SKYRIDE. I’ve never heard of these guys. So I went and checked out their website. It looks to me like they are a one stop shop for arranging outdoor activities. I called them and asked them if they own any of the locations they sell reservations for, and they said no. It seems to me these guys are doing the same thing that Expedia does for the airline industry. So what exactly are these guys doing wrong?

They have 100`s of websites for Dropzones that do not exist. these pages are designed to make the customer beleive that they are dealing with a Legitimate Dropzone.
On those websites they have Photo`s that are STOLEN from other legitimate websites and other skydivers.
They pretend to be whatever Dropzone you think you just called until you give then your Non-refundable" credit Card info. They then tell you that you will actually Jumping at a Dropzone sometimes many many hours away from you live.

Skyride also sell their Certificates and tell people they can use them at Dropzones that do not accept them. This causes huge problems when the person show up redeem their certificate and finds out they have been ripped off.

The best example of exactly how sleazy these people are is:
Shortly after Chris Martin (Owner of a Dropzone in Tennessee) Died, Skyrides Owners called AT&T claiming to Be Chris Martin and had his 1-800 number redirected to their Skyride Offices.
Chris`s Widow was trying to sell the dropzone at that time and that Number (1-800-Skydive) was a very valuable asset to the Dropzone. So on top of having to deal with her Husbands Death and trying to settle the estate, She had to jump through alot of hoops just to get Her Own phone number back.

Does any of this sound like a Legitimate Business??

I am right in downtown of dope smoking. Good ol' Van-city, BC. I just moved here 4 months ago. I actually like it here a lot. People are nice and friendly.

Of course they're friendly - they're stoned :o

Check out Pierre Burton's instructions for rolling a joint at the bottom of this link

I hear that Canada has the highest stripper per capita ratio in the world

They're just young ladies trying to earn a living - we encourage entrepreneurship B|

At work we refer to them as "Nice college girls" B|
It is not very good to say stripper in a government facility.
Divot your source for all things Hillbilly.
