funks 1 #1 November 14, 2005 Have you seen it? Caught it this weekend, for as twisted and creepy as it is I thought it was equally entertaining. The ass shots of Rob Zombies wife are a nice little bonus too
hobbes4star 0 #2 November 14, 2005 I don't think it was as good as the first. But showing rob's wife hiney alot was a very nice bonus. if fun were easy it wouldn't be worth having, right?
AlexCrowley 0 #3 November 14, 2005 I dunno, at least it had some semblance of a plot rather than just goofy set pieces. My wife is currently obsessing on both movies. I think I've seen them both 3 times this weekend, plus all the DVD bonuses and (admittedly cool) Rob Zombie commentary. TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking. Brains 2 #4 November 14, 2005 We watched it Friday night. I liked it. I thought it was just as good as the first one, and so much different at the same time. I was glad to see that. I was hoping that it wouldn't be just more of the same thing. I will agree that showing Mrs. Zombie's ass helped a ton. Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you. Rebecca 0 #5 November 14, 2005 So, what's the plot here? I'm vaguley interested, except that it just looks like a bunch of freaks running around all dirty and crazy and homicidal, killing people they happen to come across... What's the point? you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

AlexCrowley 0 #7 November 14, 2005 Basically: Otis and Baby's Excellent Adventure, with Capt Spalding as Socrates. However, it doesnt have the 'run around the mall to cool 80s guitar music' scene..... Oh wait. yes it does!..... kinda. TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking. AlexCrowley 0 #9 November 14, 2005 It took a couple of viewings of House for me to accept it as something vaguely entertaining rather than the visual equivelent of a drugged horse rambling incoherently about cheese sandwiches. Zombie creates some really excellent characters in the Firefly family but then populates the rest of their world with boring crap. Which leads to interesting characters having to deal with boring crap. Which makes the movie boring crap but done with lots of different art student film techniques. House reminds me of a lot of geocities sites in the 90s. Lots of blink tags and animated Gifs by people that thought it looked cool. House was like a lot of disjointed bits and pieces and no real flow. Devils rejects is like a grownup movie that takes all the cool sick stuff and expands on it but with real movie making involved. I really liked it, even though its very similar in its "if you dont like this type of movie you'll hate it" feel to House. blahblahblahblah Watch it simply for the sick stuff. I'm a die hard horror movie fan and like these movies simply because they dont stick to the tried and true formula and instead opt fo that 70s style grit and realism that got lost in the special effects gorehound style the 80s spawned and the 90s refined til it wasnt even gross anymore. TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.

GrendelKhan 0 #11 November 14, 2005 I must not have seen the same movie yall did. What I saw was Rob Zombie unabashadly stealing three decades worth of horror movie material. There wasn't a single scene in the Devils Rejects that didn't make me think "Wow, that was just like (insert random movie here)" Boredom is not a burden anyone should bear.....especially when it comes to horror movies. And whilst I will never complain about Mrs. Zombies ass on screen, it seems like its one of those "we don;t have viable narrative or cohesive plot, lets throw in some TnA to keep the pre-teen boys interested" moments. I would give the devils rejects two thumbs down, but Rob Zombie already cut them off because I hated his crappy movie. Damn you , Zombie. GrendelKhan 0 #13 November 14, 2005 QuoteYou obviously didnt watch House first. DR is a masterpiece in comparison. A dog turd in compariscon to a big steamy pile of elephant excrement is still a turd. I didn't like either movie, but I will agree that Devils Rejects was a 100 times better. At least its a step in the right direction for Mr. Zombie, Grendel Khan-The Official DZ.Com Newbie Forum Nuisance "They sicken of the calm, that know the storm." Shotgun 1 #22 November 14, 2005 I saw it on the shelf at Blockbuster yesterday. I wasn't very tempted to rent it though. I rented "House of a Thousand Corpses" once, but I kept falling asleep while trying to watch it.

Ive watched it two or three times and yea it get a bit slow in places, but its just the feeble attempt to make the movie somewhat coherent. I dont consider it and edge of your seat thriller, but I enjoyed it anyway.Goddam dirty hippies piss me off! ~GFD "What do I get for closing your rig?" ~ me "Anything you want." ~ female skydiver Mohoso Rodriguez #
