BillyVance 35 #1 November 17, 2005 Well here it is, the penultimate game of the year in the south. Yup, the Iron Bowl! Alabama vs Auburn. This rivalry ranks #3 in the nation in terms of importance and impact on college football, but it also rank #1 in terms of meanness and hatred... #8 Alabama (9-1) plays at #11 Auburn (8-2) this Saturday at 2:30 pm Central time on CBS. Roll Tide! War Eagle! So, you Tide and Tiger fans, check in with your predictions and insults! Even if you're not a fan of either school, chime in with your opinion! Me: The Tide will beat the cow college down there 17 - 16 on a last second field goal! At least the students STUDY cows at Auburn - at Alabama, the cows attend classes (or are those just co-eds?) WARRRRRR EAGLE!!! HEY!! Me: I think it's going to be an AWESOME game, whatever the outcome. I wish I could be there - and I really wish Toomer's Corner will get rolled Saturday! you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk? BillyVance 35 #4 November 17, 2005 QuoteSo... it's bowling with a metal ball...? Sounds fun! _Am LOL no... it's a football game. They call it the Iron Bowl since it used to be played every year in Birmingham, AL with the fans evenly split down the middle, red on one side and orange on the other side. Birmingham has a long history with the iron and steel industry. The city is widely known as the "Pittsburgh" of the south. For the past 10 years or so, the game has been played on a true home and home basis, but it's still called The Iron Bowl..."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban

LOL, hell, I WANT the Longhorns to BEAT THE FUCK out of Texas A&M, just because Franchione is the coach there. Remember a couple years ago when the Aggies went up to play Oklahoma, and the Sooner fans a[email]ll sang "Rammer Jammer Yellowhammer we're gonna beat the hell out of you!" when the Aggies entered the stadium before the start of the game? That was classic! The final score was OU 77 A&M 0.... double ouch! BillyVance 35 #18 November 17, 2005 QuoteOh ok! I think their fight song is a bit off.. They're not going to be in the Rose bowl this year. The reference in the song is to Alabama's first national championship in 1923 when they played in the Rose Bowl. They beat USC, if I remember right, and shocked the nation doing so. That game put Alabama on the map to national prominence, so to speak..."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban

Prove it Here: all the proof you need... http://www.ncaa.org/champadmin/ia_football_past_champs.html every poll is listed. Of course, only the AP, UPI, Coaches and BCS really counts... Hmmm... by those standards, here is the list, from 1936 to present: Alabama – 1992, 1979, 1978, 1973, 1966, 1965, 1961 Texas – 1970, 1969, 1963 Texas A&M - 1939"Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
