The aliens were not dropped into the volcanoes, they were just stacked up around the volcanoes, and then hydrogen bombs were dropped into the volcanoes, blowing up everything on the surface of the earth. Hopefully, we'll get to see this episode again although I'm afraid the Scientologists will sue comedy central to never show it again.
