Sudsy's symbols are accurate. However, check with someone who speaks the language, as in some instances, the meaning can change when associating ideograms...

"For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."

I do speak the language. :)
If you're looking for characters to each stand on their own, then those are the ones you're looking for. There are others for both sky and earth which may get confusing, but those are, indeed, the ones you want. The artist should know not to put them too close together, where they may be mistaken for a single character comprised of several radicals.

If, on the other hand, you're trying to form a word, phrase, or sentence, then let me know what it is you want translated, and I'd be happy to. :)

thanks, i'll bookmark those until i find someone. beause the meaning of water it says it also means wedensday.

In Japanese (as well as other Asian languages), the days of the week are named as follows:

Sunday: Sun-day
Monday: Moon-day
Tuesday: Fire-day
Wednesday: Water-day
Thursday: Wood-day
Friday: Gold-day
Saturday: Earth-day

So, the character is correct. Hope this helps! :)
