BillyVance 35 #1 November 20, 2005 I was looking through some of my skydiving papers and old jokes and happened to find this post from rec.skydiving I had printed out from 1997, posted by Bill Von Novak... He tells some funny stuff. ----------------------------- It's the last day of the 300 way attempts in Illinois. There's time for one more attempt. The planes take off and turn onto jump run in perfect formation. The superfloater leaves, and 299 people pile out of the C-130s. They slowly build the formation. Finally it's complete - except for one open slot in the base. Miles away, one last figure dives from the lead C-130. He comes screaming over the formation, gets above it, and goes head-down into the burble. Ten feet above the formation he comes out of his dive, drops neatly into his slot, picks up his grips, and smiles for the camera. Exactly three seconds later he pulls, and at that signal people begin breaking off from the formation. After the cheering on the ground dies down, one observer turns to another and says "Wow! He was amazing! Guy Manos is on the load, right? That must by Guy!" The other observer says "no, that's Jesus Christ. He just thinks he's Guy Manos." - Bill Von"Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
