Evelyn 0 #28 November 24, 2005 We used to go to my parents house for Thanksgiving, but last year when I called my mom to see if she wanted us to bring the turkey fryer and do a deep fried turkey like we did the year before she kind of hesitated and said she wasn't sure what they were doing and that my neice had mentioned she wanted to do Thanksgiving this year, and she'd get back to me. When she called me back she said my neice was doing Thanksgiving, but that she didn't have room for everyone. I said no problem, I understand, but it was kind of a slap in the face. I personally would never exclude family members from a holiday dinner just because I didn't have enough dining room chairs or dishes. There's always paper plates and borrowing folding chairs. Anyway, now we go to a friends house. Actually nice cuz we don't have to make the drive from L.A. to San Diego and I can sleep in, prepare the food I'm bringing and still have time for a pre-dinner jog around the Rose Bowl.
