Vancouver BC Skydivers

Recommended Posts

There were several when I jumped at Pitt Meadows last month.

One of the DZ.commers I met is CanuckinUSA, who is CanuckinVancouver at the moment, so I'm sure he'll chime in at some point, among others.

I'm more like CanuckInBC and/or CanuckInBurnaby now.

But I am here ... what's up Pops? You trying to organize something or just trying to figure out which BC skydivers have no life (which would be yours truly).

We should organize a BC jumpers night out for food, drinks and good conversations. I've been trying to hook up with Jaap for a while now, but either I've blown him off or he's blown me off. But I'm sure if he's free he'll join us. Of course my brain is stuck in a fog right now. I wonder why ... and no it has nothing to do with the good BC bud.

They make better Budweiser up there? ;)

Don't necessarily *plan* around me, but if you guys do it on a weekend night, I might like to road trip up. I owe the "two in Gastown" a visit, anyway.

Its actually a very beautiful city (when the sun is out). Great restaurants, friendly people for the most part, great concert venues, lots of touristy shit to do, pot is practically legal, great fishing!!!

You DEFINITELY owe us a visit. Our guest room is waiting.

And for god's sake bring us good wine. This BC crap is revolting!

I think she's a fan of "Sutter Home" or some such thing...and she *did* bring BC wine to my house last month. :D

If BC wines are a must, Tinhorn Creek makes drinkable plonk. It's been a few years, but it seems like the pinot gris and cab franc were both worthy after a couple of better bottles. You should also be able to find a couple decent dessert wines up there.

Who knows, every time I am up in BC I usually see Molsen or Kokannee... I think a trip up north from of the Seattle area jumpes might be needed though...

Last time I was up there was for the Kamloops May Meet, good fun....

Hey now, you said the BC homebrew was ... interesting. And it was. Granted, we'd already gone through a couple bottles by then.:D

And give me credit. I brought some good stuff too, some of it all the way from NZ!

Depends how much you're willing to carry. Can you smile and say "Only these two bottles, officer" with a straight face when your trunk has another 2 cases in it?

Damn. I didn't realize that it was quite so restrictive! Or that the duty was that high (just looked it up). Holy shit.:S

No wonder you two are going nuts (wine-wise, anyway) up there.
