What are you thankful for?

Recommended Posts

Well, it's almost turkey day and I am already thankful as all get out. What are you thankful for?

Here's mine.... I just spoon fed my daddy a cup full of chocolate chip ice cream! He wasn't supposed to get out of the hospital but he did! We have him home with us for the holiday, and as painful as it is, it is the best thing in the world! He is surrounded by his family, good food, good wine, laughter, memories, and good ice cream damnit! Amen!!!!

I wish everyone a fantastic holiday! Enjoy every second with your family, because life is too damn short!

I'm thankful for my wife.
I'm thankful for a really good job.

This has been a very good year for me, even if things didn't turn out 100% like I planned for, it turned out better then I could have ever hoped. Infact the past 2 years have been great...well, I guess I can peg the drastic turn around in my life to the day that I met Morgan.

I'm thankful for family and friends, that I have a job I love, that I have a car I love (corvette), that I have a passion I love (duh, skydiving), that I am able to make time for everything that I love. Life is good and I'm very thankful :)

I'm thankful for so much! My son and all the cute little things he does. Family. Friends. Health. Job. My unborn niece or nephew who will make his/her appearance in June. Strength to get through hard times. I'm thankful just to be alive! :)

I am thankful for all the challenges that this year presented, and still presents. I have grown so much this year, been stretched beyond where I thought I could go; I have seen much, tasted both precious and the terrible this year, and know that I am the better for all that didn't go my way; for all that was hard, all that was asked of me, and all that life took: I am better for it. I am thankful for the pain this year has brought, because to know pain means I also know joy; to know darkness means I also know light; to know dispair means I also know hope.

And in the end, that I have at least this day to be thankful for, means the world to me.

I am, indeed, thankful.

(and for pecan pie with ice cream. But that's for tomorrow).

Sweet thread...

I'm thankful for breathing. The kind of deep and full breaths that make you feel good.

I'm thankful that I've felt love, deep and real love, knowing that "this is the one."

I'm thankful for friends and family that help me keep my sanity.

I'm thankful for being able to help those that need it when they need it most.

I'm thankful for truly understanding that I only live once, that I need to take every chance, cuz this IS the ONLY chance we get.

I'm just thankful.

Karen

Thanks, Lisamarie. Still have coach jumps to do, tho'. (It's the weather that's holding me back now; haven't had a decent day to jump since Oct. 22.) I'm just thankful (ah, something else to be thankful for) that I got that stupid spinning problem from level 4 solved, thanks to Ed Dickinson and the others at Perris Skyventure!!!!!! Never woulda' made it without a tunnel...

Happy thanksgiving, Lisamarie.;)

If, by 'look after', you're referring to the Italian hitman sense of the word, then yeah, I'll look after you :P.

Sure you wouldn't prefer to have Lainey doing the minding? :P

I am thankful that moving to California alone with 2 kids was a g-r-e-a-t decision. My kids are still alive and breathing on their own....at times, I am not sure how my 17yr old daughter actually does this on a daily basis. :S

I have met really terrific friends here. I dont' have an easy life but I have a life I love. Just driving to work down the lovely Highway 5 and watching the sun rise..and skies are blue and there is that ocean smell blowing with the wind through the windows... mmmmmm, I love being here. It's mostly sunny and 72 in my world. :)

If Lainey were to look after me, I'd lose my career, she's a tad on the young side :ph34r::ph34r::ph34r:
