Superman32 0 #26 November 16, 2005 I have an one of those aerobirds, pretty much just to crash. I also have a Venture helicopter and r/c car. All with more accessories and parts that really makes sense. Since I caught the skydiving disease, I haven't even glanced at any of that stuff. It will very soon make its way into the files of ebay. homer 0 #27 November 16, 2005 I figure the plane would be great to take to the DZ and fly during some down time. CSA #699 Muff #3804
chutem 0 #28 November 16, 2005 Homer, try 3M 77 spray adhesive. Spray both sides of broken parts, wait 5 min for it to tack up then stick the parts together. Dries fast and does not add as much weight as epoxy or most other glues. This plane will stand up to alot and a complete replacement fuselage/wing assy only costs $20. Have you got the lipo batt for it yet? even faster and more run time.James
katiebear21 0 #29 November 17, 2005 Well, chuck completely wrecked the plane from head to toe so he just went ahead and ordered the next lower model (just like the hobby store told us a the first place)! Katie Get your PMS glass necklace here

Hmm.. I was just flying my 21 year old sport plane last weekend, and thinking of putting a new radio in my 33 year old delta wing. Of my 14 planes in flying condition right now, two are actually less than 10 years old.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one. Ron 10 #33 November 17, 2005 I almost put my Shogun Heli in today. Its a little windy and I was at the far end of the field. I put in in a slow turn back to me and I guess I over did it with the back preasure to slow it down...The wind caught it and started to blow it back (I guess I caught under the disk and it pushed it back?) Anyway I put the power to it and pushed it forward...I then pulled back to climb out and I missed a tree by a foot or two. I find electric helis to be a handful in the wind. OTOH my gassers, being quite lot heavier **, have all handled wind extremely well. ** actually, it's disk loading that is important in handling wind, especially gusts.... homer 0 #35 November 17, 2005 QuoteHave you got the lipo batt for it yet? even faster and more run time. No, I haven't it flies fast enough for my skill level as is. Thats why its laying in 5 or 6 pieces now. I can't imagine trying to fly it faster. CSA #699 Muff #3804
TrophyHusband 0 #36 November 17, 2005 when i broke my leg i built a pt-40 trainer. i took it to the local field and watched someone fly it. i then began building a twin otter. i decided to go with electric motors this time. the guy at hobbytown told me they were too big for my experience level (none). a little more sanding and it will be ready for covering. i haven't touched it since my son was born. he's two and a half now. Ron 10 #37 November 18, 2005 Where did you get the TO kit?"No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers,
normiss 895 #38 November 18, 2005 here's a TO I found...looks funny without OUR door! http://www.rcuniverse.com/product_guide/kitprofile.cfm?kit_id=3055
Ron 10 #39 November 18, 2005 Yeah, thanks. The only problem with that kit is it has a square fuse. Mark at RT said they are working on a newer larger one, but they have not done anything with it yet. I still may get this one, but it will have to wait till I am in my house."No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers,
